So day two is complete! We definitely felt your prayers as we had an incredibly smoother day today. Yesterday was chaos, but today the kids were so well-behaved. Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts throughout the day.
After camp, we went to a local Subway for lunch. The Center missionaries, John and Mindy have been building a relationship with the owner and workers. We were able to talk to them as they fixed our lunch. Please pray that the relationship will continue to grow.
When we finished lunch, we headed out to the Rose, which is a low-income assisted living center for senior adults (that is the pc term). We got to play games with several of the residents there. Ms. Ingrid drilled some of us in the art of chicken foot aka dominoes. The rest of us learned a new (but actually really old) game with Mr. Jerry called Sequence. It is a super awesome game that we are all addicted to now.
Some of Nikki's friends from her Iowa days invited us over for dinner tonight. They cooked barbeque pork sandwiches, FRESH corn on the cob, and fresh green beans from her garden. Then they let us play with all their toys. This included a Harley, a (small) trampoline, a tractor, and the best one ever...a golf cart. We all took turns riding/driving the golf cart. When we left, Tonya told us that she really enjoyed watching us have so much fun with something so simple.
We are getting ready to head off to bed...we are really tired, so it is pretty short tonight. We will upload more pictures tomorrow and give more info on our days to come.
Please continue to pray for all of our requests. We appreciate all the words of encouragement and the prayers in general as well as the individual prayers of our prayer partners. Thank you!

Hey guys,
Sounds like you are having some fun! We can almost taste the fresh corn! Mollie would be so jealous since that's one of her favorites!! Know you are being prayed for-you especially Caroline, Randy and Nikki. I (Kim) am talking to Dad for you Caroline, Norris is praying for Randy and Mollie and Katie have their "Miss Nikki" covered.

Greetings again to our friends in Iowa! We are enjoying hearing daily from you and also being able to read daily of what you have been doing. Yesterday sounds as though it was a great day of being used in a variety of ways. Who would have ever thought that "chicken foot" and eating at Subway could be a ministry? Also, is the rumor true that the leader of the group was seen on a motorcycle -- I could only hope that someone had a camera nearby!
Nathan, we are continuing to pray for you throughout the day and are glad that yesterday's Bible study went well. Your Mom and Dad are really proud of you.
Jim and Tarcella, you are in our prayers as well as we are your prayer partners.
Nikki, Randy, Patricia, Sarah, Joe, Katie, Tarcella, Bob, and the Livelys -- we are thankful for your sacrificing of time and willingness to invest in our youth -- and we are praying for you as well. Thanks for being willing to be used as leaders and examples.
I can't wait to have the opportunity to share with the church tonight of your ministry.
We love you and are praying for you,
Thomas and Jana
Hi to Lauren S,
We at FBC Slidell have y'all on our church prayer list!

Hey MBC troops,
Sounds like things are going great and the Lord Is moving!
I heard about all that eat’n – Corn on the cob sounds appropriate! One of y’all has got to get some belly sinkers, doorknobs, and fatcakes. The locals should know where to get em!!! Ask some of the kids!!
Justin – Hope your teaching is going well. You can really make a positive impression on these children that are so important to our Lord. Matt 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.". I will continue praying for you!
God bless you all!!
Stay the course!
